Gosh, she’s already 6 months old (and almost two weeks).

Her stats:

Weight 16lb 3 oz (60%)
Height 27 in (90%)  8O
Head 16 3/4 in (50%)

She got two shots and an oral. She did fantastic. No crying until the very end and I think because she couldn’t move since the nurse was holding her down.

She can now sit unassisted.  She can push up on her arms.  She really doesn’t roll over yet.  In fact, she just rolled from tummy to back last night.  And I think it was just a fluke.  lol  I am so not in a hurry for her to be mobile so it is on her terms when she wants to hit those milestones.  And as you know, she is eating cereals (rice and oatmeal), fruits (bananas, applesauce, peaches) and veggies (carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans).

Otherwise, she is doing what she needs to do and so are we. Next appointment: 3 months (Aug 22).

Well, it came and went.  The weather was great.  It was a wee bit too warm but it was better than last year: which was cold and windy.

My goal was to run it in 42 minutes.  Well, the good news is that I ran it in 38:18 minutes. The bad news it was slower than ‘07 (35:52). At least it is over and I did it. The family was waiting for me at mile 3 so that was a nice surprise.

Afterwards, there was pizza, drinks and cookies. That was really nice of the company to provide. Hopefully next year, I’ll do better. Cheers!

Just so I don’t have to be looking for these next year:
2002 52:44
2003 41:50
2004 didn’t do it
2005 was pregnant
2006 didn’t do it
2007 35:52
2008 41:21

This morning on the way to day care, Diego was telling me the things he needs: Go Diego Go shoes, Go Diego Go shorts, Go Diego Go shirt, Go Diego Go backpack, Go Diego Go etc. He was like “Got that Mama?” And I said yes, I am writing it down on my list, which I wasn’t but I was taking mental notes. He asked where the list was. And I answered “It’s in my head”. Which to he responed “Did you eat it?” :P Eric and I just about peed our pants laughing. Love that kid!

We had noticed for some time now that every time one of us would eat, Mia would just stare at us. So we decided to give Mia some solids today. Some rice cereal with breast milk. OMG! It seemed that Mia was just waiting for this day to happen. She was able to eat about half of the cereal. The other half ended up on her face and bib.

I can’t believe she is ready for this. 8O

Mia turned over!!! Granted it occured last night at 11 pm in our bed when she should have been sleeping in her crib but hey, she did it!!! A few times too. I think she just wanted to see how cute she is so we can forget it was 11 pm.

I have a feeling there will be more Mia milestones coming soon. Yay!

Diego got accepted to pre-k!!!  We got the letter today telling us.  My little man is going to SCHOOL!!! Next week, we have to officially go and register him at the school. We get to go school supply shopping.

Read this today and it fits me to a T.

So sad but so true.

Diego deserves a post of his own. He got a haircut yesterday. Doesn’t he look like a big boy?

44 Months

*sigh*

Let’s see. Mia is:

Weight: 14 lb 2 oz (70%)
Height: 25 3/4 in long (90-95%)
Head Circ: 16 1/4 in (50%)

She got two shots and the oral rotavirus. AND:

Guess Who...

My baby got her ears pierced. She cried and cried and I was just a mess. But within 5 minutes (it felt longer) she was all smiley. I hope she doesn’t hate me later but it is kinda hard to make a decision like that for her. Especially with the reaction she had. But I think all will be forgiven. I know I don’t remember and I have no idea when I got mine done.

Overall, she is developing well and we go back in two months for her 6 month appointment.
